Evergreen Federal Bank gets net zero ready with new branch in Ashland, Oregon

Evergreen Federal Bank is pleased to break ground in Ashland with plans to build a state-of-the-art, net-zero bank. Located at 1001 W. Jackson Rd., the branch will be the first of its kind in Southern Oregon. Featuring both roof and free-standing solar panels, the building will be well-equipped to power the branch and its location with solar-produced energy.

“We are pleased to extend our service to Ashland,” says bank president Jeff Hyde. “When we considered how we could make a positive difference, we took note of what is important in that community. We look forward to operating at net-zero and want to be able to help others that have the same goal.” Once the branch is built, Evergreen plans to host tours and offer solar financing options.

Evergreen selected the Ashland-based contractor Outlier Construction, LLC. to build the 6,110-square-foot branch. In addition, they are working with local architects KSW, S Tracker, and True South Solar to complete the project scheduled for opening in the summer of 2023.
